President

Matthew is the President of eCU Technology. He joined the organization in 2021 to lead and grow the financial technology company. Matthew’s knowledge and expertise align perfectly with eCU Technology’s focus on streamlining the digital account opening process and helping financial institutions achieve long-term growth.

Downing understands credit unions’ business needs and unique challenges. Throughout Downing’s 15-year career in financial services, he has focused on improving the user experience. He previously served as VP/Manager, Enterprise Programs and Strategy for Tinker Federal Credit Union. He has a proven record of developing and executing strategic plans and building high-performing operations and technology teams.

Matthew earned his Bachelor of Arts in Finance from the University of Oklahoma. He also graduated from Southwest CUNA Management School and earned his Lean Six Sigma Black designation.
